ROY — A man is dead Friday after a Dodge truck broadsided his Ford Mustang on Riverdale Road at 1750 West.
The man was making a left-hand turn eastbound on Riverdale Road shortly before 3 p.m. when a Dodge pickup truck headed westbound broadsided the Mustang on the driver's side of the vehicle.
The driver of the Mustang was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the accident.
Police do not believe at this time that alcohol, drugs or speed were factors in the accident.
"Right now, it looks like it's just an unfortunate accident involving a vehicle trying to make a left-hand turn into traffic going in the opposite direction," said Chief Greg Whinham with the Roy Police Department.
The name of the man has not been released, pending notification of the family.
