SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Two Utah Highway Patrol troopers are lucky to be alive this morning after an out of control semi forced them to dive to safety.
It happened yesterday in Weber Canyon on I-84.
Authorities say troopers were investigating several accidents caused by a bridge with black ice. That's when a semi lost control near the bridge. Both troopers were forced to jump out of the way as the semi hit one of the patrol cars.
One trooper jumped over the bridge and then grabbed onto the railing, hanging on with a 40-foot drop below him.
Authorities say both officers received minor bumps and bruises. But luckily no one was seriously injured in any of yesterday's crashes.
