LOGAN — Three men are facing charges related to two separate marijuana grows in Cache County.

On Aug. 14, after an anonymous source contacted police about a small-scale grow in Nibley, the Cache County and Rich County narcotics strike forces served a warrant to search for a suspected cannabis grow on Hollow Road. The strike forces recovered three marijuana plants, as well as other drug-related products and paraphernalia.

Police say that a 64-year-old male will be summoned to appear on charges related to the grow, but have not released his name. They say that size of the grow indicates that it was probably for personal use.

Nearby in Newton, the strike forces served a warrant to search near 6100 West and 7500 North for illegal marijuana growth on Aug. 21. They took 58-year-0ld Michael Hake and 67-year-old Thomas Poulos into custody after finding 19 marijuana plants, which were being grown both indoors and outdoors, and a handgun.
