SALT LAKE CITY — The Adoption Exchange saw nearly $50,000 come their way Wednesday after a fundraising event hosted by KSL.
The second annual Day for Wednesday's Child telethon raised $48,795, surpassing last year's fundraising total of $28,000.
The funds will go to the Adoption Exchange, a non-profit that places children in foster care into permanent families. The money will provide financial help for families faced with the legal fees associated with adopting a child from foster care.
Corporations joined individuals to raise those funds. Wendy's, the top sponsor, donated $18,000 to the telethon.
