JUAB COUNTY ᰬ Police have seized more than 5,000 marijuana plants, with an estimated value of more than $5 million.
According to the Juab County Sheriff's Office, the grow was discovered by hunters in the area last winter. The hunters reported it to the department, and after investigation, police determined it had been active earlier that year with a successful crop.
Police have arrested 22-year-old Omar Bargass, from Mexico, for growing the marijuana, and he will face Federal prosecution.
Police are reminding the public to report suspicion of a marijuana grow, and to exercise caution if they are in the area, as growers can be violent.
