CEDAR HILLS — The city has announced a vacancy in the City Council created by the appointment of Gary Gygi as mayor.

The City Council will fill the vacancy at a special City Council meeting to be held Tuesday, Aug. 14 at 6 p.m. at the Public Safety Building (fire station), 3925 W. Cedar Hills Drive.

Any qualified person interested in being considered for appointment to the position may submit an application to Gretchen F. Gordon, deputy city recorder, at 10246 N. Canyon Road, Cedar Hills, UT 84062. Applications will be accepted until Aug. 9 at 5 p.m. Those interested also can download an application at the city's website, cedarhills.org.
