WEBER COUNTY — The Utah Highway Patrol Tuesday released dashcam video of a high-speed chase on I-15. The driver of the fleeing Jaguar is now facing some serious charges.

It all started on July 12 when a UHP trooper pulled the car over on U.S. Highway 89 in Davis County. But when the trooper got out, the driver sped off onto I-15. The chase was on.

Troopers tried to lay down spikes three different times, but on the third attempt the driver of the vehicle nearly hit a trooper. The chase finally ended in Weber County when a trooper rammed the Jaguar.

The driver of the vehicle, 21-year-old Benjamin Pillard of Woods Cross, is now facing several charges, including two counts of attempted murder.
