SALT LAKE CITY — Derrick Salberg is an outfielder for Lower Columbia College in Longwood, Washington and he made one of the greatest catches you will ever see.
His team had a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the ninth inning. That lead was about to disappear, with a man on first, a batter for the opposing team hit what looked to be a two- run home run. Somehow Salberg leaped over the fence and made an amazing catch. It was the final out and gave his team a victory in the NWAACC Baseball tournament.
The catch was incredible, but then you consider how important that catch was to his team; it makes it even better.
I can't imagine an MLB player making a catch this season that could top that.
National Anthem struggles
The Star-Spangled Banner is not an easy song to sing. Many singers have had their struggles with the national anthem in the past.
Add Victoria Zarlenga to the list. The US Men's national team destroyed Scotland 5-1 after Zarlenga destroyed the national anthem.
Zarlenga explained what caused the issues to the Dirty Tackle blog on YahooSports.com.
