OGDEN — Police are looking for a driver who ran over a boy on a bike and took off.

The 6-year-old boy, Jordy Andrade, was riding his bike home on Adams Avenue between 21st Street and 22nd Street toward his home when a truck peeled out of a small house street called Warren Row. The truck turned right onto the street and ran over the boy before continuing to drive away.

The boy suffered injuries to his head and hands and was hospitalized, but released and attended school Friday.

Neighbors are upset about the incident.

"We were really shocked to hear about it," said Ogden resident Katherine Ease. "I just feel sorry for the poor family."

Police describe the truck as an older silver and blue Dodge. The driver is said to be in his early to mid 20s with a mustache, and about 180 pounds.

Neighbors say they haven't seen this truck before, and police are looking for the driver.

"Driving away with a 6-year-old child that's injured at the scene — you know left there at that the scene — that's upsetting to us to the point we want to find this individual," said Ogden Police Department Lt. Scott Conley.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Ogden Police by calling 801-395-8221.
