SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A woman who pleaded guilty to leaving the scene after hitting a man who was scraping ice from a windshield was sentenced to 180 days in jail.
Nary Quintana must also wear an electronic monitoring device for 180 days and pay a $2,500 fine and cover the funeral expenses for Mason Haywood.
The 48-year-old man was scraping his windshield on Dec. 18, 2006, when he was struck and killed by Quintana's car.
The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. Quintana went to police around 4 o'clock that afternoon.
Quintana will also be on probation for three years.
