Toddler falls into river, presumed dead

OGDEN — Search and rescuers are looking for the body of a young child who is presumed drowned after falling into the Weber River on the west side of Ogden.

Police say the child, 3, fell in and has not been spotted since police and emergency crews were notified about 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

The child was with family on the banks of the river near 300 W. 24th St., when the accident happened. Divers are in the water trying to find the victim, and multiple agencies are on scene assisting with the search.
