On Sunday, the Pocahy (Pochay) Family Federal Credit Union merged with Mountain America Credit Union.

Pocahy Family Federal Credit Union, a 15.3 million dollar institution based in Pocatello, Idaho, has a long tradition of providing members with quality, competitive financial services in a personal, professional and efficient manner. They approached Mountain America in late 2011 about a possible merger to help combat the increasing competitive environment.

The Pocahy Family CEO T.J. Kennedy said that this merger would allow them to strengthen their service to their 22-hundred-plus members. Mountain America also acknowledges this merger is a win-win for both institutions and their members.

Mountain America has more than 70 branches in five states and specializes in a variety of financial products and services. Dating back to the 1930s, Mountain America is a tradition for many members, serving more than 373 thousand, and has over 3 billion dollars in assets.
