WEST VALLEY CITY — D McCleary scored a game-high 28 points and sparked a 30-13 run in the 4th quarter to rally Riverton past Alta in the 5A quarterfinals.

The Silverwolves trailed by 10 points in the 3rd quarter after Alta's Jarett Anderson completed a 3-point play. That's when Riverton started a comeback. McCleary completed a 3-point play followed by two three-pointers by Bryce Stone that gave Riverton their first lead since the 1st quarter. The run continued as the Silverwolves outscored the Hawks 35-19.

Riverton advances to the 5A semifinals where they will play the winner of Brighton and American Fork on Friday.
