WEST VALLEY CITY - Northridge wasn't expected to qualify for the tournament when the season began. Now they have reached the quarterfinals.

The Knights outlasted Copper Hills 43-41 in an overtime thriller despite making just 26 percent of their shots. The game was physical and at times downright ugly.

Northridge led by as much as 8 in the 4th quarter but Copper Hills would close the gap. With less than a minute left Bryson Allen put back a missed shot that tied the game at 35. The Grizzlies would get a shot for the win but the attempt missed and the game went to overtime.

Northridge took a 42-41 lead when Bryson Niederhouser made a putback and got fouled. It was his only basket of the game.

Copper Hills had possession down 42-41 with 13 seconds left but Dylan Carter was called for a moving screen turning the ball over to Northridge.

Karson Kasteel led the Knights in scoring with 11 points. They advance to face Lone Peak in Thursday's quarterfinals.
