STANSBURY PARK, Tooele County — A Salt Lake man was killed Sunday after being ejected from the vehicle he was driving in a rollover accident on I-80 near the Great Salt Lake.

Police say James Doyle, 51, was traveling east on I-80 near the exit to state Route 36, north of Stansbury Park, about 7:25 a.m. when he lost control of the sport utility vehicle he was driving. The SUV rolled across the eastbound lanes and into the freeway median.

Doyle was ejected from the SUV and pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials are still investigating the cause of the accident, though police said alcohol may have been a factor.
