UTAH COUNTY — Police are trying to find two men responsible for robbing a Burger King in Provo and a pizza restaurant in American Fork Monday night.

Investigators say two men walked into the Burger King at 1160 N. University Ave. in Provo around 10:20 p.m. One of them was carrying a 9-millimeter handgun and the other had a wooden baseball bat.

The man with the handgun walked behind the counter and took cash out of the register. The robbers then forced the three employees in the restaurant to walk to the back of the store and empty the safe, then told them to lie down. The men also robbed the employees of a cell phone and iPod before fleeing.

The same two men are also suspected of robbing the Papa John's at 104 W. Main St. in American Fork at 10:50 p.m. Police investigating that crime say the suspects may have been driving a white two-door Chevy lowrider or a dark blue or black Dodge Neon with stickers in the windows.

The suspect with the handgun is described as a Hispanic male in his early 20s, wearing a navy or black hoody, approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9" inches tall, 160 to 170 pounds with a mustache.

The suspect with the baseball bat is described as a Hispanic male in his early 20s, wearing a hoody and sunglasses, standing approximately 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, and clean-shaven.

Anybody with information is asked to call the Provo Police Department at 801-852-6210.
