(KSL News) -- Police are warning about a lottery check scam.
Officers in Cache County say people are getting letters saying they have the lucky numbers and have won the Canadian lottery.
Residents are asked to cash the fake checks made out for as much as 600,000 dollars and then send several thousand dollars back to the lottery to pay for taxes on their winnings.
