SALT LAKE CITY - Former Jazz coach and president Frank Layden joined Tom Kirkland on SportsBeat Sunday to discuss the Jazz.
After retiring in 1989 and handing the coaching reigns to Jerry Sloan, Layden has stayed close to the Jazz and still attends most Jazz games.
Layden likes the new Jazz team and the renewed focus on defense, "I don't think we've have these kind of athletes in a long time... we've got a lot of kids that can run and jump." said Layden, "I like this team, I think they're going to grow."
Layden also talks about the talent and youth of the Jazz and gives a little insight to where he got his funny bone.
