(KSL News) -- A cancer causing chemical has been found in soda pop.
The Food and Drug Administration says a new study revealed soft drinks contain Benzene at levels four times above the amount in tap water.
Health officials say exposure from soft drinks is still relatively low compared to other sources, so the public's health is not in danger.
Benzene is used to make plastics, rubber, pesticides and is also found in gasoline and cigarette smoke.
