PROVO, Utah (AP) - Two teenage boys have been charged with arson in a Dec. 15 fire that caused nearly $2 million in damage to a Mormon church building in Santaquin.

The Daily Herald of Provo reports that county attorneys charged the 16- and 17-year-old boys with one count of aggravated arson and other less serious charges.

Prosecutor Nicole Ferguson says the boys are being charged as juveniles for the time being, but that could change.

Their names are being withheld because they are minors.

The two boys are accused of breaking into the church building, eating food for a fundraiser for a cancer patient and then using paper to fuel the fire.

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints wards that used the building have been relocated to a newer building.
