SALT LAKE CITY -- Utah Highway Patrol says slick, icy conditions and speed may have contributed to a rollover accident on I-80.
Around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, the driver of an eastbound pickup truck lost control at the I-215 interchange, and the vehicle rolled. Emergency crews responded and took the man to a local hospital. He's expected to recover.
Police say it's an important reminder to slow down in icy conditions and to keep a good distance between your vehicle and others.
Later Thursday morning, a car slid off the exit from westbound I-80 to SR-36 at Lakepoint in Tooele County and went into the water. No word on injuries in that accident.
