SALT LAKE CITY -- The casual mixed martial arts fan might not realize Utah is a literal mecca for the sport. Almost every weekend there is an event to see live. There are many reputable gyms in the state that produce UFC-caliber fighters. Utah has produced UFC fighters such as DaMarques Johnson, Court McGee, Ramsey Nijem, Josh Burkman and Steve Siler.

With this boom, many great things have come and one of them is Steelfist. Friday is Steelfist Fight Night 4, one of Utah’s many mixed martial arts promotions. Steelfist is somewhat new, but it doesn’t show: The two brothers behind the scenes, Pat and Kevin Patton, know how to put together an exciting fight card. This will be their fourth event and every show has been action packed and well produced.

Steelfist Fight Night 4 is going to be held at the Complex, located at 100 South 536 West in Salt Lake City at 7pm.

Fighting Friday night will be some up-and-comers looking to make a name for themselves. Cole “Headhunter” Rose vs, Francisco “Cisco Kid” Alcantara, Pat “Punisher” Reeves vs. Craig “The Boss” Ross and as the main event, Johnny Kafer vs. Aaron “The Destroyer” Sawyer are among the 12 fights.
