TAYLORSVILLE -- A 6-year-old boy was injured Friday afternoon after falling off playground equipment.

Officers were called to Westbrook Elementary in Taylorsville after the boy fell, reportedly landing on his head. A medical helicopter was also dispatched to the scene.

Once emergency crews arrived, however, they found the boy had only injured his shoulder and back.

The helicopter was called off, and the boy was taken to the hospital by ambulance in good condition. His name was not released.
