(KSL News) -- Some Sandy residents were without power this afternoon after several power lines fell down in the middle of the street.
Officials say the lines snapped near 700 East and 8000 South, and dangled in the wind.
Utah Power says the top of one power pole also landed in the road.
The company says power crews were sent to the area to fix the downed lines and restore power.
