(KSL News) -- The trooper involved in that violent collision in Tooele County last week was charged today.
Witnesses say the trooper had his emergency lights on, but no siren when he ran a red light and hit a car carrying a Grantsville woman and her two children.
He was cited for failure to stop at a red light, a class B misdemeanor.
The woman was hospitalized with serious injuries. Her children's injuries were minor.
