If it's winter in Utah, you think powder snow. Utah is famous for having the greatest snow on earth and receives an average of 500 inches of fantastic powder per year. Some of that is thanks to the Great Salt Lake.

Did you know Utah is home to the top ski resort in North America? Deer Valley has held this ranking for the last five years in a row. The goal at Deer Valley Resort is the guest first at all times, and the employees are focused on this every day.

This year Deer Valley has taken great strides to make the resort more child and beginner skier friendly by adding four new SunKid conveyor lifts to transport children and beginners up the hill, adding a permanent outdoor play area and the exciting new Kid's Trail Map, designed to introduce youth to the resort's features. This resort, nestled in the stunning Wasatch Mountain range, has amazing panoramic views, beautifully groomed runs, gourmet restaurants and a great ski beach.

Beaver Mountain, just 27 miles from Logan, is holds the honor of being the longest family-owned resort in the United States. It's been around since 1936, and the Seeholzer (see-hole-zer) family has worked hard to maintain and improve it over the years. This year they're replacing the Little Beaver chairlift with a brand new triple chair. It's unique since many beginners have never skied one. They've also cleared terrain to open new runs along with the lift.

Beaver offers full-season ski rentals from a well-stocked ski shop which the public has loved! This resort has the only 100 percent volunteer ski patrol in the intermountain west. Owner Ted Seeholzer says they serve the Utah community by offering some of the lowest day pass prices in the state. Visitors also love the beautiful drive through Logan Canyon.

Want to win a pair of lift tickets to ski resorts in Utah or Idaho? It's easy. Head over to the Zions Bank page on Facebook to find out how. Share it with your friends for more entries.
