SALT LAKE CITY - Logan dismantled Bountiful 59-30 in the 4A semifinals to advance to the championship round.
The Braves had no answer for D.J. Nelson who set a Utah high school state record with over 600 yards of personal offense. Nelson also found the end zone a total of seven times to five different receivers. Nelson's other two scores came on the ground.
Today's game was the second meeting of the season between the Grizzlies and the Braves. The first game saw a similar result with Logan coming away with a 56-30 victory.
Despite the loss, Bountiful got good production from wide receiver Tanner Redding. Redding hauled in four passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns.
Logan will face the winner of East and Timpview.
