SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Microsoft's announcement that it once again was postponing release of Windows Vista couldn't have come at a better time for competitor Novell.
Senior Vice President John Dragoon boosted Novell's latest Linux-based desktop suite yesterday at the company's BrainShare conference at the Salt Palace. Novell holds the conference every year to display its products.
He held up a newspaper with a headline saying, "Microsoft Delays New Windows," and joked, "Why, I feel bad for them."
Microsoft says its consumer version of Vista will be released in January, but corporate buyers should be able to get it in November.
Dragoon said Novell's Desktop ten and its applications are available now.
