MIDVALE — Police say the bodies of a man and woman found Friday evening at the Remington Apartments is a case of murder-suicide.

Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal said the deceased have been identified as Katherine Elizabeth Head, 46, and Robert Milton Head, 56. Both were dead from gunshot wounds.

Police were called to the apartments at 7400 S. State St., at 8:05 p.m., by a maintenance worker who was asked to check on Katherine Head by her mother. The mother had contacted the worker because she hadn't heard from her daughter in some time, Hoyal said.

The worker looked through a window, saw the bodies and called authorities. A press release by the police department did not make clear who fired the first shot.
