SALT LAKE CITY -- The Deseret News is bucking the national trend for newspapers and is growing both online and in print circulation.
According to newly released circulation numbers DeseretNews.com has the largest audience of any newspaper organization in the state.
The first time the Deseret News can claim such a title.
The Audit Bureau of Circulations reported average monthly unique visitors to DeseretNews.com is 2.61 million compared with 2.49 million for the Salt Lake Tribune.
MediaOne reported that the Deseret News Sunday print circulation jumped more than 24 percent.

The Tribune's Sunday circulation was up nearly one percent.
Both papers beat the national average, which was down by 3.5 percent.
Weekday circulation for the Deseret News also grew at nearly 1 percent. Nationally, the estimates show weekday circulation declined by 4.5 percent.
The Deseret News and KSL are both operated by Deseret Management Corporation.
