SALT LAKE CITY -- A dog that rides a scooter? Maybe you've seen YouTube video of Norman the Scooter Dog and wondered if he's real. We put that question to rest on KSL News Today.
Norman and his owner, Karen Cobb, visited KSL and showed off his scooter skills. The 2-year-old French sheepdog gets on the scooter, balances unaided, hangs his front paws over the handlebars and pushes the scooter with his left hind leg.
Cobb says Norman started riding a scooter when he was about 10 weeks old. "When we put him on the kids' scooter, he just rode around. He wouldn't let go. He loved it," she said.
Norman now is an Internet sensation, has a sponsor, and has appeared around the country. Play the video to see his visit to KSL.
