PROVO — Provo Police are looking for two men they believe kidnapped and assaulted a woman before abandoning her.

Arrest warrants have been issued for Travis Shawn Sanchez, 24, and Jeffery Ryan Richmond, 32, in connection with the Oct. 23 incident, according to a Provo Police Department news release. It was reported that both men have been identified as the ones responsible for the alleged assault.

The 36-year-old victim told police that she called an acquaintance on Oct. 23 and, when he picked her up, two other men were in the vehicle. Eventually, the woman became suspicious and tried to exit the vehicle, at which point the two men took her to an area in southwest Provo, held her down and robbed her.

"The two men then forced the victim out of a moving car and left her in the area alone, late in the evening," the news release states.

Police said it is believed both Sanchez and Richmond have left the Provo area, but are being sought by both Provo Police and the Utah County Joint Criminal Apprehension Team. Anyone with information on the men has been asked to call 801-852-7292.
