OGDEN — Family and friends of a missing Ogden teen gathered Tuesday evening for a candlelight vigil in her honor.

Alexis Rasmussen's family hopes to raise awareness of the missing 16-year-old girl, and keep hope alive that she will return home safely.

"She's out there and she needs our help, and this is a way to pull everyone together and let everyone know this is for Lexi. And we're shining the light bright so she can come home," said Wade Reed, Alexis' uncle.

Alexis disappeared after leaving a babysitting job around midnight on Sept. 10. Police are investigating it as a missing persons case but say they "have no information to believe that she's run into foul play."

Anyone with information about Alexis Rasmussen and her whereabouts is asked to call the Ogden police dispatch at 801-629-8221.
