ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Jameer Nelson scored 25 points, four in overtime, and added nine assists as the Orlando Magic beat the Utah Jazz 114-108 Wednesday night.
Nelson made a 20-foot jumper from the corner with 27 seconds left that put Orlando up 110-107. Dwight Howard, who had 16 points and 11 rebounds, followed with a pair of free throws to extend the lead to 112-107 with 11 seconds to play.
Utah, which missed its last four shots from the field after leading 107-106 in overtime, got 30 points and 11 rebounds from Mehmet Okur. Carlos Boozer, starting for the first time this season, also scored 30 and had 10 rebounds.
The Magic, who have won three straight at home, got 20 points from Hedo Turkoglu and a season-high 19 from Tony Battie.
Utah lost its third straight game.
The Magic started the fourth quarter with a 78-74 lead, but Utah tied the game at 96 when Boozer converted one of two free throws with 1:57 left in regulation.
It was still tied at 99 when Utah turned the ball over with 11 seconds left. Nelson tried a 20-footer that rimmed in-and-out at the buzzer, sending the game to overtime.
The Magic shot 54.5 percent in the first half to just 34 percent for Utah and outrebounded the Jazz 21-17, but led only 45-44 at halftime. Orlando was up by as many as 13 points in the second period, but nearly gave it all away with turnovers.
Utah forced 13 turnovers and turned that into 17 points to crawl back in the game. Boozer had 10 points in the second quarter and Matt Harpring nine as the Jazz consistently beat the Magic inside for easy baskets.
The Jazz took their first lead, 62-61, on a fallaway jumper by Okur with 5:57 left in the third quarter, but the Magic responded with an 11-2 run.
Notes:@ Newcomer Darko Milicic tied his career high with five blocks. That gives him 29 in 12 games for Orlando. He had only 15 in 25 games with Detroit. ... Utah has had 13 different starting lineups this season. Thirteen of the 15 players on the Jazz roster have started at least one game this season. ... Utah got only five points on 1-of-14 shooting from its bench. Keith McLeod was the only Jazz reserve to score. ... Greg Ostertag and Kris Humphries were place on the inactive list by Utah.
