EPHRAIM - The No. 4 Snow College football team jumped out to an early 14-0 first quarter lead en route to a 35-7 victory over Phoenix in Ephraim Saturday.
The Badger scoring when quarterback Adam Eastman hit receiver Ronrei Lloyd for a seven-yard touchdown just six minutes into the game. The Badgers struck again in the quarter when Eastman hit Chris Toronto for a 13-yard touchdown pass.
"We came out and got off to a good start," said Snow College head coach Tyler Hughes. "It always helps to get going early."
The Badgers tacked on two more touchdowns in the second quarter to cruise to a comfortable 28-0 halftime lead.
The Badger defense continued its dominance keeping Phoenix scoreless in the first half. They held Phoenix to 247-yard total offense for the game.
Eastman and Craig Harrison combined to go 21-35 for 260 yards. Running back Breon Allen led the Badger running attach with 15 carries for 89 yards.
The Badgers (6-0) return home Saturday to face Mesa in another Western States Football League game. The game kicks off at noon and can be heard at www.snowbadgers.com.
