Who shot the world record typical elk? What does it score and how long has the record stood?

The answer...The world record typical elk was taken by second generation cattle rancher Alonzo Winters in the fall of 1968 on the White Mountains of Arizona. Mr. Winters passed away before his bull was officially scored in 1995. His bull ended up with a net score of 442 and 5/8th points.
