SALT LAKE CITY -— The Utes' experienced the other end of the turnover battle this week as they lost to Washington in their first home Pac-12 game.

The Ute's had a bad start as they fumbled the ball on the opening kickoff, giving the Huskies an easy 7-0 lead.

Aaron Calhoun(@ACalhoun_CFN) said, "#Utah fumbles the opening kickoff and #Washington runs it in for a TD. 7-0, #UW and the game is only nine seconds old."

The Utah fumble set the pace for the rest of the game.

Despite the first turnover that resulted in a Huskies touchdown, the Utes quickly tied the game when Jordan Wynn found Dres Andersen in the back of the end zone.

Robert Jackson (@rojackKSL) of KSL tweeted, "Touchdown Utah! Wynn to Dres Anderson for a 16 yard strike. Set up by a Wynn to D. Christopher pass that went for 36 yards. 7-7."

Utah seemed to be right back in the game but things got out of hand in the second half, even though Washington was only up 10- 7 at the half. On in the first drive of the second half the Huskies marched it down the field for a touchdown.

Bubba Brown (@BubbaBrown8) tweeted, "Well, that was quick. Long run by Polk sets up a TD for the #Huskies, who now lead 17-7. #Utes may have missed their chance in this one."

Turnovers played a huge role in the game. The Utes ended the game with five turnovers.

Utah Athletics(@utahathletics) tweeted, "Utes miss 2 chances to score deep in UW territory w INT & fumble."

Craig Erickson(CErickson85) tweeted," REALLY???? Another #utes fumble on the 6 yard line. It's like watching a #byu game all over again."

Nate Sato (@nsato311) tweeted, "In this situation I think Jake Heaps would say without all the turnovers it's a different game. #Utes"

BYU fans could not speak up enough. They were all over twitter.

Spencer Checketts (@espn700spence) of ESPN 700 tweeted, "Wow. So BYU fans apparently feel vindicated by the Utes loss tonight? Very interesting. Thanks for all of your unwarranted feedback."

John Wray(@byutweeter) tweeted "BREAKING NEWS: Turnovers lead to blowouts! Careful not to use the "we would of" card Utes. Might sound a tad bit hypocritical. #Utes"

Tim Pales (@tcp25) tweeted, "Hard to over come 5 turn overs! At least it wasn't 7! #Utes #BYU"

In the end, the Utes suffer a hard loss to Washington after turning the ball over five times.

Maybe you can still get the free turnovers at Arby's after all.
