TOOELE -- What do you give some of our state's most prolific readers? More books of course!
Students at Settlement Canyon Elementary in Tooele rate near the top of our Read Today program. So Big O Tires purchased hundreds of the novels they've needed to keep students reading.
"They're expensive," said Canyon Elementary principal, Gailynn Warr. "So as a new school, as we are collecting books this is what we want."
Reading scores here have increased school wide, and teachers have helped individual readers who no longer struggle.
"It makes my heart soar," said mom Marci Fuwell. "It makes me think for any kid who can't read, because I thought we were doomed forever. It means that lots of hard work and diligence always pays off in the end."
Big O Tires is driving reading rewards all over Utah; tell us your school success story.
