SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - A 14-year-old Utah boy has been charged with a dozen first-degree felony counts for his alleged role in the rapes at knifepoint of two Salt Lake City women.
Court papers filed in 3rd District Juvenile Court show the attacks happened Aug. 14 and 15 at the womens' homes. In both instances the boy allegedly threatened the women with a 4-inch knife.
Prosecutors have charged the boy with two counts of rape, two counts of aggravated sexual assault, two counts of aggravated kidnapping, two counts of forcible sodomy, one count of object rape, two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of aggravated burglary.
Deputy Salt Lake County District Attorney Patricia Cassell says the state wants to try the teen as an adult.
A hearing is set for Oct. 27.
