Carnegie Hall has named the stage within Isaac Stern Auditorium after Ronald Perelman, who donated $20 million for its education and artistic programs.

It will now be known as the Ronald O. Perelman Family Stage, the hall said yesterday.

Perelman, a Carnegie Hall trustee, made the gift to expand the hall's New American Roots Program for middle school children in the city and establish the Ronald O. Perelman Family Music Endowment for elementary and secondary school music education.

The New American Roots Program will focus on blues, jazz, gospel, bluegrass, and Native American music in American history.
