Randall Jeppesen reportingMembers of the First Baptist Church in Provo are cleaning up a mess after police say someone broke in and ransacked their chapel.
Deacon Louis Wilkins smiles now as he shows off damaged office materials thrown around the room, but he wasn't too happy when he first discovered they had been robbed.
Deacon Louis Wilkins: "I didn't know whether to call 911 or the cardiologist when I opened up the door."
Investigators say the thieves only found $26. They say the suspects pulled a computer outside, but left it.
What worries Wilkins the most is the paintings that were pulled off the walls.
"So that's what I'm thinking - some kind of religious connotation to it. Smashed Noah's ark. Just stomped on it."
Wilkins says the thieves and vandals will eventually have to answer to a higher authority for what they did. He says he hopes for now the neighbors will help keep an eye out on the church.
