(KSL News) A Salt Lake woman pleaded guilty to hitting and killing a man with her car and then leaving the scene.
Nary Quintana, 20, told police she did not stop because she was "scared" after hitting 48-year-old Mason Haywood last December.
She turned herself in later that day.
As part of a deal with prosecutors, Quintana pleaded guilty to a class-A misdemeanor, which could bring a year in jail.
Two other misdemeanor charges were dismissed.
Quintana will be sentenced in October.
