(KSL News) -- A Utah educator wants the state to adopt California's standards for teaching math.
BYU math professor, David Wright, says the Golden state does a better job of educating students in public schools so he wants to bring the math curriculum here.
Wright started a petition and has collected about 40 signatures, most from other math professors at other Utah colleges.
He's ready to submit his request to the Utah Office of State Education.
