Fundraisers Held for the Families of Trapped Miners

(KSL News) Several fundraisers for the families of the trapped miners took place today.

In Park City, several fire departments teamed up with Park City Helitours to raise money.

Fundraisers Held for the Families of Trapped Miners

The professions of mining, firefighting and aviation often trade places as the most dangerous in the world.

Helitours offered scenic rides above Park City for a $40-per-person donation.

Firefighters demonstrated their equipment.

Fundraisers Held for the Families of Trapped Miners

At a Sam's Club in West Jordan, they served up barbecue and snow cones to help the miners' families. All proceeds raised will go directly to the families.

ARUP also was there for people who wanted to donate blood.
