This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

In the past, running a successful small company involved having good business sense and using a lot of elbow grease. Today's small business needs have changed and one of your top concerns is most likely information technology. It's a multi-billion dollar industry for companies in the United States and continues to grow every year.

A piece of that pie belongs to Adrian Hunter and his company, Geekbox Computers in Sandy. It's become the name associated with high-performance PCs backed by excellent service. This company serves everyone from small start ups to large government contracts and has consistently hit their monthly goals, even when the economic situation was not great. And it all started in the basement as a small PC repair business.

The company was successful enough, but it didn't take Adrian long to realize the problem with most computer systems was sub-par equipment. He'd talked to enough PC owners to understand the common gripes many had with their systems. So, he decided to create his own using the highest quality components and back them with a service the industry has never seen before.

This really worked out for him since Geekbox caught on like a wildfire. It was successful enough to expand into two locations, and then it caught the attention of the national and international markets, so Adrian now ships his computer systems all over the world. In addition to PC systems, he has also created high-end gaming systems that can be built to a user's specifications. These systems have consistently been ranked in the top three in the nation. Adrian also offers studio setups for anyone who wants to create a recording studio in their home.

He says his team's passion is what really sets them apart. They love what they do, and it shows. In fact, they enjoy their job so much they refer to themselves as Geekbox artisans rather than employees. Geekbox Computers is also a zero compromise company, meaning they won't ever compromise on the way customers are treated or on the quality of the products they sell.

For Zions Bank, I'm Chris Redgrave, speaking on business.
