SARATOGA SPRINGS -- A line of trucks and tractors stretch about the length of a football field including the end zones. At the front, there's the old road and at the other end of the line, there's a newly paved road.

Portions of State Road 73 between Saratoga Springs and Eagle Mountain are being repaved. But the road isn't being replaced - rather, it's being recycled.

Trent Webb with Construction Material Recycling says they basically digging up the road, putting it through a recycler and pavaving it back down all at once.

Webb says road recycling is starting to catch on around the country as oil prices remain high. It saves material and money when oil prices are high and UDOT says they'll be looking to do a lot more of this road recycling in the future.
