(KSL News) Students at Lehi High School are mourning the loss of a classmate. Keifer Sandoval was killed while driving to school this morning.

Police say he was heading south on Center Street at about 1750 North when he crossed the center line. He saw an oncoming car and over-corrected, then lost control.

The car went down an embankment and hit a tree. Sandoval died at the scene.

His best friend, Trevor Giles, wants Sandoval to be remembered. "He was great at drama. He was great at debate. He was friendly with almost anybody, just an all-around good guy," he said.

Sandoval had just started his junior year at Lehi High School. His 15-year-old brother also was in the car but wasn't seriously hurt.
