(KSL News) The use of deadly force by law enforcement officers along the Wasatch Front is up 150 percent this year.
Ten cases involving the use of lethal force have been reported already this year; three in Salt Lake, two in Ogden, two in West Jordan and one each in West Jordan, Centerville, Layton and Midvale.
Police spokesmen say the increase shouldn't been seen as alarming and that officers do not go into situations intending to injure or kill a suspect.
