LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Louis Amundson scored 24 points and Curtis Terry added 14 Wednesday as the U-N-L-V Rebels beat visiting Utah 65-to-58.
Utah led 27-to-23 at halftime, but the Rebels opened the second half with a 24-to-six run, taking the lead for good on a Terry three-pointer with 14 minutes left in the game. Amundson scored eleven points during the spurt, including five straight to open the half.
Utah cut the lead to 54-to-50 with 2:50 to play after Johnnie Bryant made three-pointers on consecutive possessions. But the Rebels made eleven-of-14 foul shots in the final two minutes to seal the win and remain in a third place tie with B-Y-U in the Mountain West Conference.
Bryant led Utah with 20 points and ten rebounds and Luke Nevill added 12 points.
