Florida -- Political endorcements can go along way for a candidate, especially one with his eye on the White House. Former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman is announcing the latest person to back his presidential campaign.
Huntsman has been putting a lot of effort into winning over Florida voters as he talks about the economy and what his ideas are on creating jobs. Wednesday he picked up what his campaign staff calls a big endorsement in Jeb Bush, Jr.
Jeb Bush Jr. is the son of former Florida governor Jeb Bush who still is very popular in the sunshine state, and Jr. is the nephew of former president George W. Bush.
On Huntsman's campaign website Bush Jr. announced he's not only supporting Huntsman's campaign, he's joining the campaign as the chairman over the youth outreach program.
He says he's confident that Huntsman's vision will appeal to young voters, who are concerned about the trillions of dollars in debt being piled on their backs, and who desperately seek jobs and economic opportunity.
Bush Jr. goes on to say Huntsman is the candidate best-equipped to defeat President Obama in the election.
The endorsement might not mean a lot to voters in Utah but it will cause a buzz in Florida where Huntsman is pushing hard to come out on top in the GOP primary and use that momentum as he moves on to other states.
